If you're curious about my backstory...
I didn't arrive here by following a map. I arrived here by getting lost enough times that I finally learned how to find my own way—and then made it my life's work to help others do the same.
I didn't grow up with a lot of advantages. Financially, emotionally—the safety nets most people take for granted simply weren't there. What I had instead was a yearning for a different kind of life than the one I’d been handed, a deep sense of curiosity about how the world works, and an early instinct that if I wanted to find a better way, I was going to have to go find it for myself.
So I did.
I got my first job at fourteen and later waitressed my way through a university degree in business with a minor in psychology—not because I had a clear career plan, but because I wanted to understand how people work, and how to build a life worth living. The formal education gave me a foundation. What came after gave me everything else.

Straight out of university, I spent nearly a decade helping build a private wealth management firm. Then I managed a landscaping company. In the middle of all of that, I went to explore the worlds of writing and television, and got invited to host a cooking show; it ran for three seasons.
Around that same time, I began several years of serious study in world religions and wisdom traditions—an inquiry into the threads that run beneath all of our seeking, regardless of the tradition we were born into or the beliefs we were handed. That study quietly shaped everything that came after.
After that, the leap into entrepreneurship: event planning, consulting, teaching, sales, and real estate investing. I've led teams, built things from scratch, and pivoted more times than I can count. One year, I produced and hosted my own eighteen-segment television series on holistic well-being—one of Dreamsmith's earliest projects, and one I'm still proud of. You can find it here.
Along the way I mentored directly under the late Barbara Sher (“the godmother of life coaching”) to become a certified Success Team Leader, completed Tony Robbins' Mastery University (the “father of the coaching industry”), became an Infinite Possibilities Trailblazer Certified Trainer under Mike Dooley (multiple-time New York Times bestselling author), and learned in person from Martha Beck (“life coach to the life coaches”) at a curated adventure retreat on a game reserve in South Africa—to name just a few on the long list of courses and trainings I’ve sought out. I’ve invested tens of thousands of dollars—and hours—into learning and understanding not just how to survive life on Earth, but how to genuinely thrive.

Since 2009, I've been hired to speak and teach on topics ranging from wellness and personal empowerment to spirituality, business, and reinvention—for audiences across Canada, the US, and Costa Rica.
The thread running through all of it has always been the same: helping people figure out what they truly want—and how to get there.
Because I’ve seen what can happen when people don’t find their way...or feel like they can’t.
Years ago, on a mild Monday evening in June, my mom died by suicide. It wasn’t her first attempt.
At the time, she was just weeks shy of her sixty-first birthday. She had struggled with her mental health for as long as I could remember—starting when I was just six years old—but by that night in June, it had been nearly twenty years since she’d last tried to end her own life. We'd long since stopped worrying that it could ever happen again.
The reasons were layered and complex. But at the heart of it was this:
She felt trapped in a life she believed she was powerless to change.

But that belief was a lie. There is always a way to turn your life around. Always.
If you want the whole story—the messy and sometimes painful arc of how Dreamsmith came to be, and why I recorded a talk in New York City that sat in a vault for twelve years before I had the courage to share it—you can read or watch that here. I wrote all about it once I was finally ready to let that talk see the light of day.

The truth is that we have far more power and personal autonomy than most of us have ever been taught. I've rebuilt my life from the ground up—more than once, even when it felt impossible—and I’ve walked alongside others as they did the same. The capacity to change is inside every one of us. What it takes isn't perfection or certainty—it's just the willingness to begin.
You’re never stuck. You’re never too late. And you don’t have to figure it out alone.
That’s why Dreamsmith was created. That's what I'm here for.
Some stories take a long time to tell. Thank you for staying with mine.
