On a phone call with my adult son a while back, our conversation exposed a difference of opinion, and in frustration he snapped: “If that’s what you think, I can’t even talk to you about this.” 


My heart sank.


But my heart also knew immediately that it's in those hard moments that we most need to stay. And when we took the four steps that I share in this week's episode, something incredible happened: instead of division, we found connection. Instead of anger, we found understanding.
